Harvest: Natural Crisps with real vegetable bits.

From Leslie’s comes this unique snack.  Harvest chips.  It’s one of the few healthy chips out on the Philippine market.

It comes in one flavour:  Honey sweet and savoury sour flavour.  The packaging is a bit weird including some elements that appear to be totally unrelated to the chips.

Like a bunch of grapes.  When did grapes become classified as a vegetable?  And do the chips have grape bits in them?

And  a picture of what appears to be a pork/fish sweet and sour dish.

I couldn’t find grapes or pork and fish in the extensive list of nutrients and vegetables found at the back of the packaging.

  • Fresh tapioca, Tapioca starch, Bell Pepper
  • Onion, Shallot, Iodized salt
  • Vitamin E, Vitamin Premix (Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, B12, Folic acid

It is quite a healthy snack.  Although Monosodium Glutamate is still present in the list of Ingredients and sodium is at a whopping 310mg.

The chips taste like sweetened vinegar.  The sourness of the vinegar is complemented by the sweet taste of sugar. (not honey.)  An interesting snack and I like it although fellow member ilovepork hates the smell and taste of it.
